NewsWould you like your work in farming to be recognised by the Taste of Kent Awards? The Taste of Kent Awards 2022 are now open and there is a new category which we are delighted to sponsor, Kent Farmer of the Year. This is free to enter and for an entry form visit https://tasteofkentawards.co.uk/awards/kent-farmer-of-the-year
Produced in Kent, organisers of The Taste of Kent Awards are looking for a Kent-based agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture, or livestock business growing/farming produce which also cares for Kent’s countryside and its environment.
Tom French at BTF Partnership comments: ”This is a great opportunity for the farming community to make a direct connection with food and drink businesses and the wider local community to explain what they are doing in farming and to look after Kent’s countryside, which is increasingly an important consideration for many local people. The award is open to farmers across Kent in a range of sectors – general agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, aquaculture or livestock rearing.”
“During the pandemic many farms have seen an increase in interest from local people wanting to support them and to buy local produce and being shortlisted for and winning this award would be a great boost to your farming brand locally.”
Entries need to be made by 28th February 2022 at 5pm and shortlisted finalists will be contacted after the closing date to arrange a follow-up meeting with the judges between 7th and 18th March 2022.
