We are delighted to sponsor the Taste of Kent Awards and once again we handed out prizes to the winners at the awards dinner on Thursday 5 March at the Kent Event Centre.

Kent Hop Grower of the Year, sponsored by BTF Partnership and Shepherd Neame was GM Day and Sons from East Peckham, Kent which was collected on their behalf by Wealden Hops.

Garden of England Champion Top Fruit, sponsored by BTF Partnership – Kent’s Tastiest Apple was won by the Jazz variety, grown by Simon Bray, Monks Farm, Nr Sittingbourne and Kent’s Tastiest Pear was the Concorde variety, grown by Clive and Richard Edmed, Hayle Farm, Horsmonden

This year over 350 people attended the awards dinner, making it the largest to date and it was a real celebration of the food and drink heroes in the county who are achieving fantastic results.
