Wiskett’s Wood is located in a rural setting about 1 mile south of the village of Lamberhurst.
Wiskett’s Wood and Thieves Wood at the South End comprises a ring-fenced parcel of mixed native broadleaved woodland. The wood extends in total to approximately 87.62 acres. The woodland comprises a variety of natural broadleaved species including a high canopy of oak with mainly chestnut coppice understorey, which is coppiced from time to time.
The woodland has a good ride structure throughout with access from Bewlbridge Lane and is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There is vehicular access from Bewlbridge Lane along the access track which leads to the telecommunications mast.
