Callum joined BTF in August 2021 to strengthen the Agriculture and Environment Department and also undertakes general rural surveying duties. Having graduated from Newcastle University where he studied Countryside Management followed by an MSc in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University, Callum brings with him 5 years of experience working for a regional surveying firm in the South-East, together with strong practical farming knowledge.
Callum has a wide range of experience in rural and farm business consultancy matters but specialises in farm grants and subsidies including the Basic Payment and Countryside Stewardship schemes; and will be advising on their replacements for the Environmental Land Management scheme. He also advises on Natural Capital opportunities, developing and delivering environmental initiatives for farmers and landowners including projects for Biodiversity Net Gain, Carbon accounting and offsetting.
He is a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers.
