Mike has practiced in the rural property sector within South East England since 1976. The “embryonic” phase of BTF was established in 1988, with its roots dating back to the mid-19th Century via the Porter Cobb and Prall Partnerships of Mid and North Kent.
Mike specialises in professional work within the property industry, specialising in complex valuations and tackling a full range of challenges on dispute resolution, particularly in the tenanted sector.
Outside the business, Mike is widely involved in the Kent community. High Sheriff of Kent in 2012/13 and now a Deputy Lieutenant, he is chair of Kent Wildlife Trust, the Weald of Kent Protection Society, Crime Rural Advisory Group and Rural Plc (Kent). He holds a number of trusteeships and manages 250 acres with his wife on the Low Weald, with conservation objectives to the fore.
