Wealden District Council is undertaking an assessment of land available for future development as part of its new Local Plan process which includes sites for housing, economic and retail development including workshops and offices, tourism and leisure uses as well as renewable energy schemes.
The Council is also particularly keen to factor in land use which can ensure that it is carbon neutral by 2050.
The aim is to identify sites expected to be developed over the next five years as well as longer term developments over the next 15 years.
The call for sites lasts until 10 August 2020 and does not include land that lies in the South Downs National Park.
If you think your land has development potential, and you would like to discuss the possibility of submitting your property to the council for consideration under the ‘Call for Sites’ process, please don’t hesitate to contact either Anthony Field or Mark Henty at our Heathfield Office 01435 864455 as they would be delighted to assist you.
