Transforming a disused nursery into a new residential scheme in East Kent

BTF Partnership was instructed to advise on the future of a redundant nursery site in East Kent.

Acting on behalf of a private client, our team provided end-to-end strategic advice to unlock the site’s development potential, resulting in planning success and a discreet off-market sale.

Our involvement began with the promotion of the site through the Local Plan process. We provided planning advice to support its allocation for residential development, working with the local authority and engaging at the appropriate consultation stages.

Following the site’s allocation, we prepared and submitted a full planning application for the redevelopment of the land to deliver eight new dwellings. The application was successful, with the scheme designed to reflect local character while making efficient use of a previously underutilised site.

With planning permission secured, BTF managed the sale of the property off-market. Using our extensive network of developer contacts, we identified a well-suited SME developer, negotiated terms, and achieved a successful sale – all without the need for open marketing.
