Ploughing Match Henghurst Farm, Woodchurch – 12th September 2026

The 80th anniversary match was held at Henghurst Farm with the trade and gymkhana on grass, making it easier for the public and trade exhibitors to access all parts of the site.

After a minute’s silence for the long-serving committee member and former secretary Mark Ensoll, the show got underway with over 60 modern and vintage ploughs competing and an impressive trade demonstration in the main ring.

One of the highlights of the day was a spectacular display by a spitfire, twisting and turning over The Wealden sky, as a reminder of the heroic deeds performed by brave RAF pilots in 1940.

Special mention goes to the committee who worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Congratulations to the two Championship ploughman; Trevor Bennett who won the Reversible Champion Ploughman – The Kent & Sussex Fuels Trophy and Ian Linch who won the Conventional Champion Ploughman – The John Geering Memorial Trophy.
