The Aldington Races, one of Kent’s best-loved seasonal traditions, returns on Easter Monday (18 April 2022). A mainstay of Kent’s rural social scene for nearly 60 years, the popular event will see local jockeys compete in point-to-point races across a beautiful countryside course at Aldington near Ashford.

This year’s event is jointly sponsored by leading south east law firm Furley Page and land and property experts BTF Partnership.

Aside from fantastic racing, there’s entertainment for everyone, including Birds of Prey, Terrier Racing, Tug O’ War, Tossing The Sheaf, Dog Show, Food & Drink, Local Arts & Crafts and much more.

Deborah Geering, Partner at Furley Page, said: “Aldington is known for being a family event with fun activities for people of all ages and interests. This year’s event promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

“Furley Page is delighted to continue its long-running association with the event and we look forward to welcoming guests to our marquee for refreshments on the day.”

BTF Partnership’s Managing Director, Claire Houchin, said: “BTF has a long-running association with the rural community that stretches back many years. The Aldington Races are a popular feature of Kent’s rural social season and we are very pleased to sponsor the event. I’m sure the races will provide a wonderful spectacle for the thousands of people that enjoy the event each year.”

A point-to-point (also known as a steeplechase) is a form of horseracing over fences for amateur riders. There is no dress code so visitors should wear whatever is appropriate for the weather.

Aldington Races will take place on Easter Monday, 18 April 2022. Gates open at 10am with the first race at 2pm. Tickets cost £15 on the day and under-14s are free. To book tickets or for more information about Aldington Races visit www.aldingtonraces.co.uk
